Verse 1 (Jillian):
Start fresh.
When everything was ignorance.
Everything so pure, so clean.
Take it back to the streets,
where boys grow to men.
To fend for themselves like wolves.
Content and alone; all alone
Pre-Chorus (Jillian):
No one to dry his eyes
No one to hear his cries,
No mother that cared if he lives or dies.
burdened by nature crimes, he goes on.
Chorus (Noah):
Between the world you know; the world you don't.
There lies a place, where lies and guilt don't follow.
Where hate holds no power.
Where a better tomorrow is wished by the hour.
Where a child's cry is heard.
And burden is taken up by
another's shoulders.
A sense of hope is all it holds.
Hopes to not be left out in cold.
Verse 2 (Jillian):
Cold wind blows; feelings too close to home.
Love for the world don't continue to grow.
The beacon of light is covered by shadows that reality unfold.
Feelings scrubbed clean at the surface, while we yearn for a kiss and "sweetdreams"
